I am currently the Researcher in Distance Education for the Internet Public Library. I set up courses for IPL projects; support students and faculty on IPL-related coursework and projects; assist in reviewing new students’ and volunteers’ practice reference questions, IPL collection development and reference work, and training resources for IPL students and staff; monitor and provide assistance for the IPL Learning Community site; and assist with IPL distance education activities.
I have been accepted into the Doctorate of Professional Studies in Information Management program at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies, for matriculation in the fall 2009 semester. I have an MS LIS from Drexel University. I am active in a number of associations, including ALA, ALISE, ASIS&T and SLA. I am the PR Chair for UNYSLA.
I also have 7 years experience as a Public and Academic Librarian. I was a Youth Services Coordinator at a public library and a reference librarian at an academic library.
